Story Behind The Song
Written on a stay in Paris when I was younger. Then rewritten years later when I went back to find the place I had spent some time.
Song Description
It can be lonely to be in a foreign place especially during the holiday season. No matter how beautiful it may be, it still isn;t home.

Lyrics
Wake up here in Paris it's a rainy day.
Walk down the Rue Pascal to the market place
past the rows of shellfish, past the boucherie,
past the fruits and cheeses, past the wines that comfort me.
Mostly I watch the cobblestones the raindrops make them shine.
Sometimes I watch umbrellas as they go passing by.
Sometimes it dawns on me how hard I find it to believe
that this rainy day in Paris is the day of Christmas Eve.
Take a walk along the Seine, watch the water flow.
Midnight Mass at Notre Dame becasue there's nowhere else to go.
The oragan music's beautiful and the incense smells so fine.
Christmas past and future gone just present peace of mind.
Wake up here in Paris it's another rainy day.
Walk down the Rue Pascal, all is closed for Christmas Day.
So many years have past now like raindrops down the Seine.
And being here just let's me know you can't go back again.
