Would You Call It Love

Story Behind The Song

This was a co-write with my friend Marjorie. We wanted to write a duet. A pop-country love song was the result. Marjorie & I are both outgoing people with a shy side and talked about the people we dated in the past. We tapped into that and it seemed to work.

Song Description

Two people have been dating for a number of months. They have great chemistry and strong feeling for each other. They're both on the shy side. The day comes when they can no longer hold back and keep those feelings inside. Face to face they communicate what they're feeling is true love, and getting that conformation. They decide to take the leap of faith and make a life together.

Verse 1
You smiled at me and knocked me off my for the last time
It's time I took a stand and tell you what's been weighin' on my mind

Prechorus 1
So listen up look at me
Eye to eye so you can see
The answer to the question you've been askin' me
What is this feelin'

Chorus 1
Would you call it love I would
How can you not when it feels this good
When just one lifetime with you would never be enough
Oh would you call it love I would

Verse 2
This chance I'm takin' will be worth the waitin' when you come around
I'm trustin' in your heart so baby don't let me down

Prechorus 2
So listen up look at me
Into my eyes and you will see
You were meant to be the one to fall with me
And share this feelin'

Chorus 2
Would you call it love I would
How can you not when it feels this good
When just one lifetime with you would never be enough
Oh would you call it love

Bridge
Would you call it love
When two hearts collide
Call it love
It just can't be denied
There's no other way to describe
What we're feeling inside

Chorus 3
Would you call it love I would
How can you not when it feels this good
When just one lifetime with you would never be enough
Never never) ooh never enough
Would you call it love I would
How can you not when it feels this good
Just one lifetime with you would never be enough
Oh would you call it love I would
Mmm I would
