Story Behind The Song
Drowning innocence is a song I wrote that is waiting for meaning. Usually if I write a song, it's either for someone, about someone, or specific in it's direction. I wrote DI for "that" girl. That one girl who is going to make all the other girls fade away. I'm not sure who she is, but when I find her, DI will be hers and it will finally bear meaning.

Drowning Innocence

How come everytime I see you, it takes my breath away?
And how come everytime I hear your voice, you know just what to say?
I know it's hard to see the envy in their eyes, because love has made you blind.
But the whispers that circle when you walk into the room, are deafening my ears.
Because love has captured me,
At the sound of your name.
Because love held me with those eyes,
Drowning Innocence,
And I'm drowning in a sense.
If I could begin to describe the rain that falls on your face.
The streams outline, one last try, at a perfect grace.
Because love has captured me,
At the sound of your name.
Because love held me with those eyes,
Drowning Innocence,
And I'm drowning in a sense.
And I've waited for this moment to become the perfect ending to this story.
Make history, my love.
