Story Behind The Song
I moved to Nashville to pursue my dream of being a performing artist and songwriter and had been getting in my own way, picking apart each performance and saying negative things to myself in the mirror. I was also surrounded by people who were harsh critics of me. So, I made a decision to believe in myself, change how I talk to myself, and be my own biggest fan, cheering myself on even when nobody else will.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
If you heard the words I said to her
When she looked in the mirror
You'd be reachin' for the ear plugs
And fightin' back the tears
It ain't pretty
Nah, but she is
Chorus:
I don't know where she's takin' me
I don't like where we've been
I haven't been that kind to her
She can't call me a friend
After years as her worst critic, oh
Wanna be her biggest fan
Verse 2:
When she gets off stage I pick apart
Everything she did
Make her wish she hadn't tried at all
And her talent she had hid
She can't take it
Why do I dish it out?
Chorus
Bridge:
She always tries her hardest
To do the best she can
How many times can someone
Pick herself up again?
I lost count
Don't tear me down
Outro Chorus:
I don't know where I'm takin' me
I don't like where I've been
I haven't been that kind to me
And I can't call me a friend
After years as my worst critic, oh
Wanna be my biggest fan
After years as my worst critic
Wanna be my biggest fan
