Story Behind The Song
The past few year's under GW's administration-well who knew what to believe when they opened their mouths-and some of the legislation passed during this period that encroached upon citizens' rights and freedoms-whew baby-these guys were dangerous. So whenever they would speak-most politicians for that part-well it was like-Yeah, Yeah-sure-sure-it has all been so ridiculous- plus all the politics related to the recent elections. Well, the elections are over and hopefully things are looking up. Hope you enjoy.
Peace,
Ken
Song Description
Fast paced, upbeat Dixieland feel to this tongue-in-cheek song mocking the politics of the past few years. Dave Streeter (aka-Temptatitons, Lou Rawls) really blows the soprano sax on this one.

Lyrics
YEAH YEAH (POLITICIAN)BLUES
Well I once spent some time, with a good friend of mine
And he was never one to suppose
But then he was so inclined, Overheard on his landline
And now his whereabouts, no one knows
CHORUS
Well it don't rain in the summer time in Memphis
And it won't snow in December in St. Paul
And if it doesn't make sense don't pay the rent
Get your shoes shined for fifty cents
And if you don't care to talk, don't take the call
Yeah Yeah Blues
Yeah Yeah Blues
Yeah Yeah Blues
Instrumental Break
She didn't give her name, she looked good in the rain
Her cheeks were all a blush just like a rose
The Senator held his breath, as she pulled off her dress
God bless all his constituents back home
REPEAT CHORUS
Instrumental break
REPEAT CHORUS
It don't rain in the summertime
It don't rain in the summertime
It don't rain in the summertime
