Story Behind The Song
David Bosier got the Idea for the song from his son. He wrote most of it and then came back to it later. A chance meeting at the local post office with another songwriter, Kevin Simnacher, led to Kevin writing and performing the music and ultimately the song was recorded and Produced by Mark Pence when 20 of David Bosier's co-workers at the Quaker Oats plant in Cedar Rapids won the 241 million dollar jackpot. The song was recorded just in time and was played at the lottery presentation in Des Moines.

Hello boss, I thought I should give you a call, you know, we've been through some good times, yeah and some bad times, but this time it's the best of all, cause... Chorus:I'm calling in Rich! I'm not working anymore, I'm calling in Rich! and I won't be coming in no more, I'm calling in Rich! my numbers have all been played, I won the lottery, and it's a brand new day!A new car, a new truck, and a new house is what I want, it's what's best for my family. The dream has come true after oh so long, so...
(Chorus) A whole new world has opened up for me, going on vacation to see what I can see, just going to enjoy myself and my family!(Chorus)
Sorry I need to let you go, I've got some spending to do, so long I've better things to do than to sit around and talk to you! (Chorus)
