In every area of life, people put expectations on us to line up with what makes them comfortable. At the end of the day, if we try to fulfill these expectations all of the time, we're not going to be true to ourselves, and that can be extremely detrimental to our own spirits. This song was written from a place of frustration about the often ridiculous and unattainable expectations that can be imposed on us, and to serve as a reminder that we each need to take the reigns on our own lives and do what we think is right, no matter what the consequences may be.
