Story Behind The Song
Before I had children of my own, I visited with an old friend and his wife who recently had their first child. As I observed the newborn being cradled by her mother the subtext for what I saw became the lyrics for this lullaby. The infant saying the first line of the song and the mother finishing the rest. I went home inspired and soon found myself writing this beautiful piece.

Lyrics
It's Late by L. Teruel
I love the way that you hold me and being very close to you
You rest your head in my arms and look at me like you do
I whisper softly I love you until you close your eyes
It's late and dreams await, I continue the lullaby
- Instrumental -
I whisper softly I love you until you close your eyes
It's late and dreams await, I continue the lullaby
