Mary Magdalene was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She was mentioned as being one of a few women at the cross when He was being crucified, as well as at the tomb when the stone was rolled away. Her love for Him was pure love, born out of her belief in Him. This song is her heart's cry after He has been crucified. . . reflecting on times spent in His presence.
Song Description
"Reflections in Time" is from my third album, "Mary's Song", which is a music depiction of the emotions Mary Magdalene felt when Jesus was going to the cross and after the crucifixion. It is a remembrance of the days gone by when she was in His presence. . . it is a longing to return to those times. This song represents her reflections of Him, in His absence. Though this song is sad, there is still peace that comes with the knowing that she loved Him with all her heart. . . a pure love, untainted love, a love that transcends time.
