Story Behind The Song
Mary Magdalene, a devoted follower of Jesus, loved Him with a love that was pure and transcended time and eternity. This song is a reflection of the feelings and emotions she felt knowing He was going to the cross...knowing that in the day or days to come, the times spent with Him, in this life, would be over. If she sought Him, she physically would not find Him.
Song Description
"Whom My Soul Loveth" is on my third album, "Mary's Song", which musically depicts the emotions Mary Magdalene, who was a devoted follower of Jesus, felt when she knew He was going to be crucified. This song, is very emotional, a heart's cry for one she loved with all her heart. It is reminiscent of "Schindler's List" in mood.
This song is a piano composition with full orchestral accompaniment by Charles M. Barnes.
