Story Behind The Song
The early morning hours--when there is no television, no radio, no distractions, only me alone with my Bible--are so peaceful and calming. I wrote in my daily journal several times about the solitude of the morning. As I began to write this song, I contemplated about whether to name it "Solitude of the Morning", but the melody sounded like soaring among the clouds. I found the phrase "wings of the morning" in Psalms, and decided that was the name... "wings" (soaring), and "morning".
Song Description
The mood of this song is peaceful, calming. It takes you to another place...like soaring in the sky. There are "flavors" of Debussy in the harmonies, long phrases... Again, sort of "bi-tonal", alternating between F Major and D-flat Major.
