Story Behind The Song

How To Make A Dime was originally inspired by the sound of The Tragically Hip. I wanted to write a simple but powerful, dark and catchy song with theme being that of a Confidence man talking about the things he does and the reasons behind his actions. I used the word "dime" instead of "dollar" to make a point that in today's world of multi-billionaires, money is no longer worth what it once was, especially in the eyes of a simple con-man.
