Story Behind The Song

The Encounter In Ellenabad was written as a part of a collection of songs I was working on that all have science fiction and mystical themes. The inspiration behind this particular song were stories of UFO sightings that took place near the town of Ellenabad, India. Like other songs in the collection, it started out with a simple acoustic guitar riff and was built from there.

Song Description

An experimental instrumental that combines acoustic guitars, synthesizers, sitar, bells, organs and drums to create a retro-futuristic backdrop that ambles along to a slow build to "the encounter", then drifts off into the distance.
