Story Behind The Song
We wrote this with the idea that someone could play it after a night of overindulging, kind of a universal song of regret. It could be seen as a troubling vision of alcoholism, or a little humorous song for the binge drinkers.
Song Description
Now I'm hungover sick and weak
Lost the battle I'm up the creek
My night of revelry is at an end
And it hurts to be sober again

Lyrics
Verse 1
I worked eight hours a day
For seven days in a row
I decided to get my paycheck and go
Most of it went to taxes
Some of it paid for my car
And what was left I spent down at the bar
Chorus
Now I'm hungover sick and weak
Lost the battle I'm up the creek
My night of revelry is at an end
And it hurts to be sober again
Verse 2
Last night I didn't think about
The awful feeling tomorrow
The consequence of trying to drown my sorrow
I wish I would've told myself to
slow down like I knew I should
But it's hard to quit once you're feeling so good
Chourus
Bridge (double-time)
Cheap beer and vodka and cinnamon schnapps
Followed by running and fighting with cops
Mixed drinks and more shots of liquor so sweet
Maybe I should have had something to eat
(Instrumental plays 4x? then goes back to verse chords)
Verse 3
The worst part is I don't remember
Anything I've done
No memories, no memories of having fun
And so I lie here in my bed
A churning stomach and an aching head
But eventually I'll do it all again
Chorus
