Story Behind The Song

Lyrics
Petersburg
I won?t go to Petersburg
I won?t go to Petersburg
No I, I won?t go today
I?ve so much left to do and say
No I, I won?t go today
I won?t go to Petersburg
I won?t go to Petersburg
No I, I won?t go today
I?ve so much left to do and say
No I, I won?t go today
I?ve got nothing left but time
And I cannot believe you when you say
That I can?t get away, that I can?t get away, that I can?t get away, no cheat, no lie
That I can?t get away, that I can?t get away, that I can?t get away, no cheat, no lie
If tomorrow won?t bring me to you
I won?t go today
I keep praying for the day
I keep dreaming of the way
That you, you would come to stay
We?d somehow figure out a way
Still I won?t go today
If tomorrow won?t bring me to you
I won?t go today
If tomorrow won?t bring me
Still, I won?t go today
