Story Behind The Song
I was officially diagnosed with clinical major depressive disorder at 24 in 2016, though I experienced symptoms throughout my adolescence. After being on anti-depressants for a while, I wrote this to describe what it feels like to let all the negativity fall by the wayside and be happy for once. Still almost gets me to tears of joy when I listen to it.
