I gotta tell somebody

Story Behind The Song

After being delivered from the storms of life, I want to shout it from the roof top and tell of the goodness and kindness bestowed upon me.

Song Description

Testifying through song to everyone I know on how I was delivered many times from so many things. To name a few, illnesses, surgeries, car accidents walking away unharmed. God gave me the strength to remain in my right mind through the loss of loved ones. God saves and delivers all of us from things on a daily basis. When things that spectacular happen in your life you just gotta tell somebody about it. Trying to keep it all in just wouldn't work for me. I am not a speaker but I will sing of the goodness of God all day long.

Intro
God has been so good to me I just can't hold my peace
He's done so much for me more than the eyes can see
Chorus
I gotta tell somebody He's been so good to me
I gotta tell somebody, just can't hold my peace
I gotta tell somebody how he rescued me
Just can't hold my peace
VERSE
I said I would be careful so that I wouldn't sin with my tongue
So I kept my mouth and I tried to hold my peace
But when Gods word, when it really got a hold on me
It's like fire shut up inside of me and can't hold my peace
Chorus
I gotta tell somebody He's been so good to me
I gotta tell somebody, just can't hold my peace
I gotta tell somebody how He rescued me
Just can't hold my peace
Bridge
Tell it, tell it tell it. Tell it, tell it tell it. Ooh, ooh, ooh
Adlib
Gotta tell how He picked me up, turned me around placed my feet on solid ground
How He put a new song in my mouth, now I can shout hallelujah yea
When I was sinking deep in sin, God lifted me up again, and He saved me, and He cleansed me
Deep down within, I gotta tell somebody
Chorus
I gotta tell somebody He's been so good to me
I gotta tell somebody just can't hold my peace
I gotta tell somebody how He rescued me
Just can't hold my peace
