Mr. Yesterday Divine

Story Behind The Song

When you happen upon a riff on your Les Paul. Add a shuffling groove. Harmony guitars, big hooks. I was trying to write something that harkened back to high school days, sipping cheap beer at the end of a deserted road with some buds, blasting Foghat and just being yound and carefree.

Song Description

Boy loses girl kinda thing lyrically. Crunchy guitars evoke Boston, Thin Lizzy, Queen, Zeppelin, Sweet. Bouncy groove for 1970's girls to dance to. This could have been slipped onto the soundtrack to Dazed and Confused or Boogie Nights.
