Story Behind The Song
I started writing this song a long time ago after John Lennon was killed. He was such an inspiration to so many, both before and after the Beatles. I wanted to express both my anger at what had happened and the determination that what he started would not be in vain while paying tribute to the wonderful gifts he left us.

Lyrics
Gone but not Forgotten
Verse 1-
You came into our lives
When the world was dark and cold
You brought us a special light,
That lit up all the globe
We were still mourning Jack
You asked to hold our hands
When the war, to the streets it spread
You said give peace a chance
Well is it true that the good die young
I want to know, is this our setting sun
Tell me right away, the dream won't be undone
I won't let it be, oh no.
You're gone, but not forgotten
You're gone, your spirit lives on
You're gone, but not forgotten
You're gone, gone too soon
Chorus / Bridge
Verse 2-
You were the walrus of love
In a yellow submarine
We tried to raise you up
You said to let it be
Lived your life; fought the good fight
Just like Martin, Ghandi, and Jack
Until one fateful night
A gunman come and took it back
Chorus- to End spoken- John
