Story Behind The Song
The band felt very frustrated, confused and angry about the state of the situation with Covid-19 and decided to write about it. At first, this was just supposed to be a lash out. Just to release a song and let it out. But it just could not be contained. Pretty soon the song was airing in full rotations on internet radio across the globe. In the UK (14 different stations and specialty shows), Australia, China, Croatia, Hungary, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and more. In the US, with a very small promotional budget, the song reached #21 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Indicator Charts and #6 on the Foundations Secondary Market Radio Charts with over 1400 reported spins on Peak Week. It also got notable spins at stations like WJJO, WRXQ in Chicago in Midday, KFMA, KCAL in Inland Empire, CA and other mediabase stations. During the campaign the song also reached 100,000 Streams on Spotify.
Song Description
After their successful performances on WWE Superstar and Fozzy Frontman Chris Jericho's Rock and Wrestlin Rager and Sea Cruise Part Deux, the band came home in January to a countrywide shutdown and global pandemic that was rapidly shredding. And an inconsistent media. To this day we still really don't know what to believe as Covid has just temporarily entrenched itself in American culture.
