Story Behind The Song
As a Polish songwriter, having had both my songs (in Polish) reach the semi-final stages of the UK songwriting contest last year, I am even more excited this year as this is the first song in English I have ever written.

Lyrics
Bitter Sweet
help me to forget
forget about us now
like the pain of giving birth
eases off when baby cries
in mother's arms
help me runaway
from those bitter sweet days
and forget our promises
which flew away like frightened birds.
yet, the scent of your shirts
i wear from time to time
still dances in my mind
still calms me when i cry
chorus
who would have thought when you prayed for the
rain
that you'd bring waterfalls
that hope would slip away
sometimes it feels like it's all in vain
save me from myself
from searching in the night
for a ray of hope so bright it would make me blind
but could any light ever shine so bright
what are the things
we ever wanted from life
but to know someone is there
a friend, a lover to always share
will I ever understand
did we have a choice
was there something else we could have done
will I ever forget those bitter sweet days
of you and I
will I ever understand
