Story Behind The Song
"Restless" was written one summer and fall when Chip was traveling around on the East Coast. All he could think of was those loved-ones who are often left behind, and the emotions that are stirred from that unrest. He wrote it while in upstate New York.

Lyrics
Restless
I knocked once when the question seemed clear.
I knocked twice; I was stumbling to hear.
One final knock and I'm crying out loud,
"Lord, rid me of this senseless doubt!"
You know I get restless waiting for you to be near.
You know, it seems senseless; losing you is my fear.
Falling out of happiness if love disappeared.
You know I'd hate to let it go!
I've seen your eyes calling "Hold me tonight"
Our affirmation let us share in delight.
I can't imagine what it would've been like
Living my life not loving you.
Because I get restless waiting for you to be near.
You know, it seems senseless; losing you is my fear.
Filling up my emptiness when you reappear,
I can't see ever letting go,
Because I get restless!
Because I get restless waiting for you to be near.
You know it seems senseless; losing you is my fear.
Filling up my emptiness when you reappear,
My love, forever, has to grow!
