Story Behind The Song

My cousin was in love with a girl who treated him like a good friend. On a visit to Boston (home) from L.A.he asked me to write a song about the way HE feels. I wrote it in the back room of his pet store in about an hour just to get him off my back. He gave my version to Tom who gave it a different, more appropriate (I think) feel. I found it in a box of song idea tapes, cleaned it up a bit and Voila! nice song if I do say so myself...thanx cuz!
