Lyrics
Everyday Heroes
We live in a time of sorrow
A time of grief and pain
Good people are dying all around us
Our world may never be the same.
But there are folks out there trying to help us
Help us through this seemingly endless plight
They are doing their best to save us
They are fighting the heroic fight
But each day the death toll mounts
We must do our part to restrain it
Our health and that of our loved ones is what really counts
We must do our part to maintain it
Yes we must help our everyday heroes
As they fight to save you and me
The doctors, nurses, and hospital aides
Postal workers and public employees
Yes we must help our everyday heroes
Bravely working to keep us alive
These are our everyday heroes
Risking all to help us survive
So we can make this world a better place
Than it's ever been before
One where all people can prosper
Yes we can open the door
To a world where the sky is clear
And the rivers and oceans run clean
A place where nature is respected
And the forests are once again green
A world where we hug each other
With the biggest hug you've ever seen
And then seal our humanity, seal it with a kiss.
