Story Behind The Song
Sung by a woman, but the circumstances are genderless.
In this case a woman is desperately in love with an attached man and they conduct a passionate secret affair. The woman believes they are true soul mates and her time is consumed by thoughts of her lover. She is returning from an encounter with him in the early hours of the morning when a blind newspaper vendor snaps her out of her reverie by wishing her 'good morning'. She suddenly wonders where she is and takes a diversion through a park as the sun is rising where she enters a day dream about a life with her lover.
The final verse reflects her anguish and not being able to be with him and her impression of how he feels.

Lyrics
When I feel your touch my mind goes into a spin or two
And when you speak my name I know that I can feel what you do
Wherever you are I know what expression is on your face
And even when we're miles apart we're togther in our special place
And when I call, you come running
And when you call me, I'll run to you because that's all that I can do
The blind guy sits on the corner but he sees more than most
And he wished me 'good morning' while I was creeping about like a ghost
I was coming back from you while it was still safe and dark
I crossed by the fountain bridge and took a stroll through the park
And there I dreamt that I was running
And when you called me I ran to you because that's all that I can do
Oh my love I feel your mood in the middle of the day
While you are sitting there in that atmosphere of cold-bloodied hate
And if I could be with you I would be there forever
But I'll stay right here and close my eyes and then we're together
And when I call, you come running
And when you call me, I'll run to you because that's all that I can do
