Story Behind The Song
The Blue Oceans recorded an album of vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars in the 80s because of our love of Brian Wilson and the 60s surf sound and surf instumental guitar.
The title Big Wednesday came from a film about surfing and waiting for that wave that only comes along every couple of years.We tried to capture a 60s sound using analogue recording techniques on 4 tracks(6 tracks being the final mix}
