Story Behind The Song
I have always been fascinated and bewitched by lullabies. I wrote this song for our newest family member. (He apparently likes it at bedtime and naptime.) I confess it works on me too!
Played on a Takamine GS-330 with a cedar soundboard.

Lyrics
Forest Lullaby
Words & Music by Timothy Walsh
If you're lonely when I'm not around.
If you're listening but there's no sound.
I'll be close to you, singing a song meant for you.
Riding the night in a dream--where we go.
Seeing you there and it seems we both know...
Sleepy eyes do you know where you go?
When you're sleeping you sink far below.
Down below the roots of trees
where a cradle rocks the seas.
If the stars deep in the night do not show,
close your eyes tight and you'll see that you know...
See the forest asleep in the night.
It's thick blanket of leaves is so tight.
See the oaks toss and turn
while the cedars sigh and yawn.
I play this guitar made of trees for you now.
It's the wood of the forest set free into sound.
