Story Behind The Song
For this track, we were going for a guitar heavy, alt-country feel infused with whiff of punk. Got some really fat tones out of my '78 Guild S60. It's a love song about a trucker coming home.

Lyrics
On My Way Back Home
Words & music by Timothy Walsh
I'm on my way back home
carrying a heavy load.
On my way back home.....to you.
Nothing I do seems right.
Nothing I say seems true.
Can I ever have.....just you.
CHORUS: Tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Tell me how to sing this song.
Cause I'm on my way back home.
Stumbling down the road.
Sometimes I lose my way.....to you.
Don't know what to do.
Can't figure what to say.
But in my heart I know.....it's you.
CHORUS: Tell me what I'm doing wrong, etc.
BRIDGE: I remember those long nights,
your hair on the pillow in moonlight
I'm racing on the highway to you.
Come on baby let me in.
There's no way in this world that we can't win.
No one can ever take me from you.
BRIDGE: Darling do you remember that high school prom?
Those golden afternoons on Tilson's Pond?
You know I never meant to hurt you.
Now with a little one on the way,
I've logged ten thousand miles to pay the way--
I'd gladly circle the world for you.
