Story Behind The Song
This song started as some stray lines for a poem that became instead a song lyric when I was noodling around on guitar. Recorded this "live" at home with my wife and cat listening (okay, the cat was asleep)--a single take on a stereo track, singing and playing acoustic guitar along with a drum sequencer. Later added the 12-string guitar, lead guitar, and bass tracks.
Guitars are my Taylor 114e (spruce top, walnut body), Seagull Coastline 12-string (cedar top, wild cherry body). Lead guitar is my Guild S-60 (solid mahogany). Thanks to all the trees and their marvelous tone woods for their collaboration!

Lyrics
Stacy Let's Go
Words & music by Timothy Walsh
As she walks, her legs ring the bell of her skirt--
she comes closer to me.
When she smiles, her eyes light the world so I
finally wake up and see.
Is this lust or is this desire?
She's such a puzzle to me.
Is this love or is this devotion?
I just want to know if you'll drop everything and...
CHORUS: Go! High into the mountains to
someplace with no return.
Go! Far across the ocean where
we can weather the storm.
Stacy let's go.
All around, cottonwood fluff fills the sky as it falls
to the ground.
It's as if the clouds were shedding
to weave you a glorious gown.
See the trees reach for the stars--
how they dance in the wind in the night.
Feel the breeze play on our skin--but I
just want to know if you'll drop everything and....
CHORUS: Go! High into the mountains to...etc.
Everywhere, spiders are spinning their webs
by the firefly light.
I go gladly into your arms--
tangled heartstrings wrap us so tight.
Hear the waves crash on the shore--
how they beat like a heart in the night.
Chase the moon through this moth wing June, cause I
just want to know if you'll drop everything and....
CHORUS: Go! High into the mountains to....etc.
As she walks, her legs ring the bell of her skirt--
she comes closer to me.
When she smiles, her eyes light the world so I
finally wake up and see.
