Story Behind The Song

When I first found out my little sister had Down's Syndrome, my instant reaction was, "Geez, God, not again..." (I already have a brother with severe autism) God's question to me that Christmas was, "If I have a little girl I want to give the world, and she has Down's Syndrome, may I send her to you?" Perhaps a few seconds after my initial reaction I answered "YES" and this song came to me. (Normally I don't answer that fast 0_0 God must have been in a hurry in my heart that night) I shouldn't have worried, you know. In the end, the little girl with Down's Syndrome is my sweetest angel, and I couldn't imagine NOT having a sister with Down's Syndrome anymore than I could imagine not having my dearest autistic brother. I figure that accepting our fall is a step towards flight, you know? See, sometimes, our heads are all kind of upside-down, and we don't realize we're flying until it's been happening for a while. That's why God says no to our prayers sometimes. Does that make sense? This little art-piece tries to capture that.
