Story Behind The Song
I have been experimenting with remastering some of my old sons. This one was stuck in my head and I thought I'd see what I could do for it. I think the remaster is pretty good.
I don't remember the original idea for this song, but I remember playing it over and over again trying to get it right, and come up with some decent words. I happened to have the window open and a neighbor asked me the next day what I was playing because she thought it was pretty good. Songs that I know someone has specifically complimented me on always somehow get attached to that comment in my mind.
Song Description
This song is probably more edgy than most of what I was doing at the time I recorded it. I discovered a meat trick in the BU vocals, but it doesn't come out super strong. The BU vocals aren't really harmonizing, but they follow a slightly different melodic path. It somehow has a sort of 80s rock effect to my ears.
The original recording ended with a long drawn out drum solo. You can thank me now for cutting that!
