Story Behind The Song
Recorded at Snug Harbor with "Candle Wax," I remember this one coming out pretty naturally. I wrote the lyrics on the train on the way home from work. For some reason, a lot of fans name this one as their fave.
Song Description
The chorus, "Put some Baby Chaos on & then we'll take/break it" is a reference to a little-known Swedish rock band I listen to whenever I'm in a pissy mood. It's aggressive 90's-era alt-rock, and the theme of the song is about putting music on & blockin

Lyrics
Committed
Rock & roll has got me by the neck
And it won't let me go
I just don't know what else to do
Except to maybe fall in love with you
I do, yeah I adore you
How much more can I endure? So...
Put some Baby Chaos on & then we'll take it
Put some Baby Chaos on & then we'll break it
(And I can dream about it/But can I live without it?)
I've got the headphones on
And I can't stop dancing to the funky beat (And all I wanna hear is a funky beat)
I'm still tryin, no more lyin
To myself or anyone else
If it's meant to be, it's meant to be
We'll just have to wait & see
Gotta get on, gotta get on out
Gotta get up, gotta break up now
Gotta bide your time & make your play & work all night & day
Gotta scream & shout and tell them all about the music
Gotta play music, gotta make music
Why? Why can't I be committed?
Would we just be better quit it?
I don't know
But I think it will be better if I...
Go crazy, I'm gonna go, I'm going out of my mind
I've got the headphones on, I've got the volume loud
And that's all I wanna hear is the music
And I don't care if my ears are bleeding
Just as long as I can block your bullshit out
