Lyrics
America Is Home To Me
By Ralinda Owens
Song sung by Luke Owens, 9 years old
In many countries I see poverty, famine and bondage, oppression and bureaucracy.
But America is special. I live in her freedom; and America is home to me.
Chorus - In America, I can be me; and we all can live in harmony.
Let the bells of freedom ring, with the peace that we can bring.
Of all the places I could be, I love America, America is beautiful,
America is home to me.
Around the cities of the U. S. A., I speak my mind and I can pray.
I have choices and opportunities.
And America is special; where I can live and dream and I can see,
That America is home to you and me.
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
The price of freedom was paid, by each man and woman
Who served and fought and bled and died, who sacrificed their lives for me.
God bless America and keep my country strong.
Let integrity remain and my heritage live on.
I place my trust in this land where I can dream; and we all can live in harmony.
Let the bells of freedom ring with the peace that we can bring.
Of all the places I could be, I love America, America is beautiful,
America is home to me. Lady Liberty, you?re home to me. America is home to me.
