Anthony Hodge was asked to put together a project showcasing his instrumental tracks only with no lyrics. He also decided to title the album after a Cancelled project started by Mike-C entitled, Beats for the Face. Which was originally designed for showcasing not only producers from the greater Portland, OR area, but also Emcees from the same area.
