Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song with Gene Black, who co-wrote "Never" for Heart, "Love Touch" for Rod Stewart, and toured as Joe Cocker's guitarist for 15+ years. We both love the STAX era, so this was a natural fit. I was raised on Aretha Franklin records, so this song was so natural to write. I'm proud of it!

Lyrics
Please Come Home Forever
Written by: Rehya Stevens & Gene Black
You've got my heart and soul
You're my everything
Well if I had one wish, I'd wish
For peace with you again
With no more goodbyes
All the stars are shinin'
On this lonely, lonely night
And on this war we've been fighting
When heaven knows
Only love can make it right
Chorus:
So this is my reason for callin'
I wanna to tell you I'm sorry
I was wrong... Baby please come home
Well if there's a reason for giving
And forgetting
Remember, how I love you so
Baby come home forever
Come home, baby
We may not have all the answers
Lord, how I wish I knew
But we could cast away our doubts
And we could have faith
In what love can do
All the stars are shinin'
On this cold and lonely night
And on this love we've been hidin'
When lord knows
It's the only thing that's gonna make it right
Chorus:
So this is my reason for callin'
I wanna to tell you I'm sorry
I was wrong... Baby please come home
Well if you need a reason for giving
And forgetting
Just remember, I still love you so
Baby come home forever
Come home forever
I still love you so
I can't let you go
I gotta let you know
Baby Please come
Oh yeah... Baby
I love you
I miss you
I'm sorry
Baby, please come home
