God doesn't need us to be busy. If we had to do anything for God then He wouldn't be God. We busy ourselves until it becomes habit, like going to church, working our jobs, going her and there and then we get burned out. God wants us to slow down and worship Him and talk to Him through prayer.

But the underlying message of the song is that many times we are too busy being busy for God and we don't take time to know the spirituality of a relationship with Christ by just being still.
