Story Behind The Song
Use to commute into London regularly via train. One day - as I looked out the opposite window to the fields beyond I saw the reflection of a lovely young lady sitting right by the opposite window , and suddenly realised that as she looked out the window - her reflection was looking straight back at me! (but not on purpose...I don't think, anyway!)
Song Description
Long-suffering commuter is one morning captured by the beauty of a young woman on a train - wonders if....just if....she is showing interest back!

Lyrics
Girl In The Window
A Monday, a Tuesday ? every day I?m on this gray ol? train and
A Wednesday, a Thursday ? huddled down from winter cold and rain, then
A vision - of beauty ? connecting through the mundane scene and
I?m frozen in her gaze ? a look of warmth and so serene, that?
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Blue eyes, so piercing - cutting through the shiv?ring cold and bleakness
Tender lips, cherry red - appealing to my primal weakness
A faint smile, a glimmer ? framed by tantalising auburn hair - I
Catch myself, from thinking ? maybe she wants me over there - that?
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
As my mind wakes up from ? dusty cobwebs of the morning haze ? I...
See through her, into the - distant fields, the low sun?s blaze
She?s looking outside there ? wonder what it is that she can see, and
I realise ? in stupor - it?s her reflection looking straight at me that
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
Girl in the window
(Monday, Tuesday ? every day this gray ol? train, Wednesday, Thursday ? huddled down from cold and rain)
Girl in the window
(Monday, Tuesday ? every day this gray ol? train, Wednesday, Thursday ? huddled down from cold and rain)
