Song Description
The ten songs that comprise Days To Here, the debut CD from New Jersey native Rob Dye, are a journey through the rich landscape of American music’s roots. With feet firmly planted in those roots, Dye’s music incorporates elements of rock, old school country, Stax-influenced R&B, gospel and more while remaining true to the essence of each style. Guitars wail, the pedal steel and piano bring us into a honky-tonk saloon, a trio of singers takes us to church, an accordion whisks us into bayou country, while a saxophone echoes the famed Jersey Shore sound. Through it all, the lyrics tell classic stories of love, faith, drinking and hitting the road.

Lyrics
BELIEVE (ROB DYE)
So many years gone by, how many more ahead?
Why do I wake up every day and face it with such dread?
Been thinking about my life and what it means to me
Where do I go from here? It's such a mystery
Knots in my stomach, pain in my heart
Why did she leave me alone, alone apart?
Here I am once again, do I want to face the end?
But I know I can count on you, you've always pulled me through
Can you save me rock and roll?
Can you save me rock and roll?
Can you save me, can you save me, won't you save me
There's a light at the end of the tunnel I've got to believe
Freight train ahead full of emptiness
Staring me in the face again loneliness
The road I'm traveling may take a wrong turn
But in the end there's always a lesson learned
Here I am once again, do I want to face the end?
I always believed in you to show me what to do
Repeat chorus
Can you save me rock and roll?
Can you save me rock and roll?
Can you save me, can you save me, won't you save me
Can you save me rock and roll?
Can you save me rock and roll?
Can you save me, can you save me, won't you save me
There's a light at the end of the tunnel I've got to believe
