Story Behind The Song
The lyrical content came from a spectacular night with my wife. We were up late drinking red wine and I thought to myself, "how could this get any better?" I came to the conclusion that it couldn't. This was IT. I wrote the song aiming to capture this feeling I had that late Saturday night.
Song Description
This song is about good vibes, celebration, and enjoying the moment. The "doo doo doo" part was written first. I couldn't get it out of my head. After finding a good progression and key I went after the chorus. It wrote itself, like I'd heard it somewhere else before.

Lyrics
Doo Doo Doo
Doo Doo Doo
Honey did I wake you up I couldn't come back down
It was something I was dreaming of I kept rolling around
Crawled in bed a little past midnight had spent some time talking
Talking to the brightest star about the shadow on the wall
Doo Doo Doo
Doo Doo Doo
Behind my tired eyes I could see us in tears
We had wasted too much time we had lost all of our years
Too much work and not enough play it died without us knowing
We forgot to tend that burning flame scared the hell out of me
Oh oh so many things we take for granted
Oh oh so many things that blind my eyes
Oh oh so many things get in the way
So many things, so many things
Let's just stay up and take some time and
Make this world we call our own
Let's just stay up and drink some wine and
Taste this love for a while
You see what I was really doing last night was writing this song
If I would of let another minute pass there would have been nothing more wrong
I had to put it down couldn't let another one get by
Its those little things you do to me they just burn me up inside
Oh oh so many things we take for granted
Oh oh so many things that blind my eyes
Oh oh so many things get in the way
So many things so many things
Let's just stay up and take some time and
Make this world we call our own
Let's just stay up and drink some wine and
Taste this love for a while
Doo Doo Doo
Doo Doo Doo
