Story Behind The Song
Rosanna was inspired to write this song after experiencing her own challenges and obstacles in pursuing a music career. Many teachers, friends, and family often advised Rosanna to pursue a more "stable career" and oftentimes, she found herself torn and confused. This song was born when
Rosanna came to realize that music was apart of her, that a career in music wasn't she was about to give up, and that in pursuing this career, she wasn't about to change who she was and what she believes in. Rosanna is doing it, but she's doing it HER WAY.
Song Description
The song could be described as today's "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. It's about self-discovery, confidence, and determination. It's about listening to your heart and doing what you want in life. Sometimes we should ignore the pressures of parents, friends, and society and instead please ourselves... it's about doing it, whatever it may be, and doing it our own way. Life is short and so, we need to live out our desires and learn from our own mistakes.

Lyrics
LISTEN UP
Written By Rosanna Riverso
VERSE 1:
Listen up to what I say
From now on it?s gotta be my way
No more sacrifice
No more advice
Only my rules I?ll obey
The dreams are mine to make
I?ll choose which path I take
I?ll see it through
Know what to do
I?ll play it?s my own game
BRIDGE:
I don?t need you to tell me how it?s gotta be
I don?t need a hand, I?m no baby
CHORUS
Listen up now to what I wanna say
I?m gonna do it my way
Yeah
Listen up now to what I wanna say
I?m gonna do it my way
(If there?s a cure for this, for this, for this)
VERSE 2:
My story is all brand new
?Bout time I do what I wanna do
Won?t stop believin?
Oh, I ain?t leavin?
I?ll win the fight one day
I?ll give what I can give
Won?t ask myself what if
Keep me in the ring
Doin? my own thing
Only got one life to live
CHORUS
(If there?s a cure for this, for this, for this)
