The moon was shining on that gravel road
I was gone all week but I was almost home

But something was stirring in that open field

I flipped on the brights and I could see the white of his eyes

All I saw was that John Deere in the headlights
He was taking some chick on a midnight ride

He was frozen like a statue for a moment
