Story Behind The Song
When you travel a lot you meet all kinds of people, friends and also have special connections with people that you meet while on tour. This was a love song written for someone who I knew it could never work out with because we would never live in the same place. But I wanted them to know that our connection was very special.
Song Description
This song is a love song written while on tour with my Swiss band. We were in Geneva at a friends house and they had an old piano. I sat down one night and made this song. While in Geneva, I was on a record label for a short time. The record label took me to London and I recorded this song with the London Session Orchestra at Abby Road. It was a great experience. I was able to get back all the rights to my song through my lawyer and put the song on my CD titled Summer. I was not allowed to use the Abby Road recording, but came up with a production that we are really happy with.

Lyrics
Daybreak will carry you through
I'm sure of this now
I will always be with you
The words we have spoken are gone
They've left in the breeze
All that's left is their feeling
CHORUS
All that I give you is yours
And no-one can take it
No-one can take it away
My arms I lift to you are soar
You've left me here naked
And I've never been this naked before
The lights of the city surround me
And there is a humming
A humming of life everywhere
With so many places to visit
And so many people
We have so many stories to share
CHORUS
I wish I could carry you with me
I'd carry your burdens
I'd carry your love
I promise to write you a letter
Maybe I'll send it
Maybe I'll send it because
CHORUS
I promise to write you a letter
