Story Behind The Song
I was watching some mindless program one night, and began thinking about how much I loved driving, especially at night. I find that when I drive at night my senses are sharper and the worries of the day seem to fade away. I began writing this song.
Song Description
It is a song about a restless spirit driving down the road escaping the dreariness of his existence. He finds solace in just driving and perhaps a kinship with his fellow travellers. He wants to make it just another day.

Lyrics
Moon shines full in the sky tonight.
Two hundred stations on the satellite.
Nothing worth watching that will make things right
I'm gonna have to hit the road tonight.
BRIDGE-
Life becomes just a long black night
coming at you are a thousand headlights.
A thousand headlights won't set things straight
or driving fast down the interstate.
some things are give and take
and other things are meant to break
BRIDGE-
I don't care what anyone thinks
when I'm driving fast, down the interstate.
BREAK
Windows rolled down and the radio's on,
kicking out some hard luck song.
Can't remember what station I'm on
somewhere on the dial out of San Antone.
BRIDGE-
By the morning I'll make LA.
A thousand headlights won't get in my way.
A Thousand Headlights and a long black night
I know won't make things right.
If I don't stop or lose my way,
I'll Make it through to another day.
BRIDGE-
Cuz I'm one more soul on the road tonight
I'm just one, in a thousand headlights.
BREAK
Repeat first vs. and fade out.
