Story Behind The Song
The four songs were done, written, played, all done. I wasn't. I felt that the project needed one more of "my style" of songs. I love writing slow, emo, ethereal, moody pieces and I was missing that on this project. I decided to try something different so I posted a question on Facebook one night. "What's on your heart tonight"? There were four responses. One guys dad just passed away, another girl wonders if we will ever have the answers or even what the right questions are while another gentleman says he believes that we are still gonna have to justify why we should be allowed into heaven as we stand before God at our death. So there it was, four strangers all referencing death. Ok....... I have to write a song about death but I'm gonna make it a love song between God and the person who has just died. I was humbled and moved when I finished this one. It's one of those songs that I know has a purpose.

Lyrics
Step into the silence. I have brought you here to lay you down.
You fought with every question and the answers that you found didn't quench your thirst
You're not my first.
I see your hearts been broken and you shut it down and now it's cold, with colder eyes
And I have felt your tears fall down. They cover me.
And I let my tears rain down as you bleed
Don't try to convince me that you have been a martyr of the human heart
By grace you lay here with Me and by grace you are forgiven
And by grace you're free because of me.
And I have felt your tears fall down. They cover me.
And I let my tears rain down while you bleed
