Story Behind The Song
I heard a commercial for a product called Vermont Teddy Bears, it's a company that sends out custom themed teddy nears as gifts, and one of their bears, was he Red Hot Redneck bear, so I just wrote a song about that bear. I could see a young country rocker, who wanted a great gimmick to kick start his career, to jump all over this song, he would appeal to patriotic Americans, hard working men and those red hot redneck girls, who would be trowing teddy bears on the stage, just a thought.
Song Description
This song is about the average American, who loves his country, and is not ashamed to tell it to the world. He loves his way of life and American self reliance, and is a patriot, without being preachy.

Lyrics
1. THIS IS ONE RED NECK WHO'S PROUD TO SEE OLD GLORY WAVE,
PROUD TO BE LIVIN' IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, N' THE HOME OF THE BRAVE,
LIVE AND LET LIVE IS TRULY, THE AMERICAN WAY,
THAT''S THE REASON I'M STANDIN' TALL, AND I'M PROUD TO SAY;
* I'M JUST A RED BLOODED, RED HOT, REDNECK, AMERICAN MAN,
WORKIN' HARD FOR A LIVIN', N' MAKIN' IT THE BEST THAT I CAN,
YOU KNOW, I WOULDN'T TRADE PLACES, WITH ANYONE IN THIS OLE WORLD,
THE ONLY THING I NEED IS A RED HOT, REDNECK, AMERICAN GIRL;
2. AFTER PUTTIN' IN A HARD DAY, WORKIN' BY THE SWEAT OF MY BROW,
I LIKE TO PLAY HARD, LOVE HARD, AS MUCH AS THE LAW WILL ALLOW,
THERE'S NO BETTER PLACE TO LIVE THAN THE U.S. OF A.
AND AT THE END OF THE DAY I'M STANDIN' TALL AND I'M PROUD TO SAY;
GO TO *
BRIDGE:
IT MAY NOT BE IN FASHION, N' YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE PASSION,
TO SAY YOU LOVE THE U S OF A,
BUT THERE'S NO BETTER PLACE OF LIVIN', SO FREE AND SO GIVIN'
AND IF YOU CAN YOU NEED TO GO THERE AND STAY;
I WAKE UP IN THE MORNIN' LONG BEFORE THE SUN STARTS TO RISE,
I LIKE STRONG BLACK COFFEE, AND MY EGGS ON THE SUNNY SIDE,
I DRIVE A PICKUP TRUCK AND YES IT'S AMERICAN MADE,
AND AT THE END OF THE DAY I'M STANDIN' TALL AND STILL PROUD TO SAY;
GO TO *
I'M JUST A RED HOT RED NECK, AMERICA IS MY WORLD,
I NEED A RED HOT RED NECK, AMERICAN GIRL
