Story Behind The Song
Part One of this song gets it's name Duophonix from the Duophonic capabilities of my Arp Odyssey purchased in 1979, when the song was composed. The clavinet motif was a result of only being able to play two notes at a time on the Arp Odyssey while trying to simulate a full polyphony clavinet track.
Part Two Strumbleskillstand came about while trying to syncronize a 4-Track cassette to a midi computer and needing two complimentary instrument tracks (clavinets) to test the syncronization. The result was dueling clavinets.
Song Description
Energetic, clavinet fronted Part One with dueling clavinets in Part Two bolstered by a Tower of Power-like horn section.
