Story Behind The Song

After creating the initial groove, on a lark, I proposed to lead singer Rick Hamilton that we do a send-up parody of the Jackson Five's I want you back. This took the Jackson Five bubble gum feel of the host lyric to a darker Twilight Zone version of the same. Substituting every with Avery is a reference to the street where our studio was located. Polyester and Polly Esther (as with I need and Anita) is just an example of my love for word play which is so often found in my literary works as well as my lyrics.
