Lyrics
------ Let's Teach Our Children-----
written by David Snow ©1992
VERSE: 1
If we could look thru the eyes of all our children
What would we see right now?
Would the world go by, would we fall behind
Would our face be lost in the crowd?
If we could visit the future, see these children
What do you think we'd find?
Would they be just like us, and leave out their young ones?
Would we see the same mistake twice?
CHORUS 1
LET'S TEACH OUR CHILDREN
Let's build our future one by one
Look into their eyes they're open wide looking up to us
They are the winds of change we need
They are the world tomorrow brings
They'll be our voices when we can't sing LET'S TEACH OUR CHILDREN..............(lend a hand)
VERSE: 2
If we could be in the heart of just one baby
Wrapped in his love for us.
Would we change our ways, re-arrange our days,
Could we prove ourselves in his trust?
It seems that we had our chance when we were younger
Yesterday paid our way
There's a debt to the past, it's due in the future
So let's get started today.
CHORUS 2
LET'S TEACH OUR CHILDREN
Let's build our future one by one
Look into their eyes they're open wide looking up to us
They are the winds of change we need
They are the world tomorrow brings
They'll be our voices when we can't sing LET'S TEACH OUR CHILDREN..............
BRIDGE
There is pride and joy in every child
Their love shines thru every smile
Their so full of hope, they wish upon the stars
WE need to guide their open hearts.
