Story Behind The Song
Winds of seasonal change were blowing in ominous thunderclouds over the lush round mountaintops of the Ecuadorian subtropical rain forest as I pulled a chair from our room out to the front stoop under the straw roof to watch this majestic display. I was reminded of the prophet who prayed for the end of a 3-year drought and witnessed as God's provision came upon them, the cloud small at first on the horizon, but ultimately overwhelming them with His heavenly deluge. And that's where I was, and that's what I needed. Deliverance.

Lyrics
I've been sittin'
In three years of drought
I've been wonderin'
What life's all about
And I've been tryin'
To find what state I'm in
I've been thinking
This life's for the birds
I've been questioning
Every word
And I don't know why
I can't find my way in
ch: What is that on the skyline rising?
Is it the hand of God or the hand of man?
Could it be the clouds approaching?
Could it be Deliverance?
Rain on me, Rain on me,
Rain on me, Rain on me
