Story Behind The Song
From Above is the first of several songs composed through the collaboration of band members Robert Flaherty & Sarah Temel. From the moment the first chord progression was played on Robert's guitar, Sarah never got the song out of her head; the melody and lyrics came almost naturally as if they were already part of the composition.
This song is the title track from Starchild and the Dust's first EP, released 11/11/11.
Song Description
From Above is a song written from the perspective of angels. The message from the angels to humanity is one of reassurance, we are not alone even when all seems lost. The song's lyrics include encouragement from our guardian angels to accept the truth within, the truth that we already know: that we are loved, and we are capable of achieving our dreams. "Dispel your fear and doubt."

Lyrics
And we're watching from above
Over all the ones we love
And we wish that you could see
All the things we see from here
Don't give up, Don't give in.
You already know...
We're not hiding, we're just on the other side
When you seek us close your eyes
And we're reaching out our hands, but you don't understand the plan
You want everything right now,
You want where and when and how
Don't look back, don't give in
You already know...
We're not hiding we're just on the other side
When you seek us, close your eyes
There were times we could not bare
You prayed for us and we were there
And we heard you crying out,
So dispel your fear and doubt
If you'd open up your eyes you would see that you'd been blind
Cause the hardest truth to find is the one that lies inside
Don't look back, don't give in
You already know...
We're not hiding we're just on the other side
When you seek us, close your eyes
There were times we could not bare
You prayed for us and we were there
And we heard you crying out,
So dispel your fear and doubt
